The Weather Hold feature is now broken into two parts: Configure and Release Weatherholds

Configuring your Weather Holds:

In Configure Weather Holds, first you will need to select your account, and then you can filter by the fulfilled from location and press Add Weather Hold: Manageweather

Creating Weather Holds:

  • Fulfilled From: the warehouse that will fulfill orders when released from hold
  • State*: the state that all orders will stop shipping to**
    • *each state must be configured separately
  • Start Hold: (choose date from calendar): the date that orders destined to this state will STOP shipping. Date cannot be set in the past of the day-of configuration; however, the date can be set for the future.
Orders submitted into the system before the state is configured on the weather hold will not be captured in the weather hold settings. Only orders that have been submitted after the configuration of that state is complete.
  • End Hold: (choose date from calendar): the date that orders destined to this state will RESUME shipping*
    • _* the system will not check the weather or auto-hold orders due to inclement weather on the date of the configured release; therefore, it is highly encouraged to leave this date blank, thus creating an indefinite hold that the user can manually release once weather is permissible to ship orders. _
  • **Dunnage & Hold Configuration: **this allows the user to select the coolpack packaging that will be included on weather-held orders upon being released. Users can select from:
    • No Change: no change in containerization of orders
    • EcoCoolpack: will auto-insert an EcoCoolpack into each container shipping to the configured state
  • Hold for Release: if checked, all orders will follow the configured hold and release dates. If unchecked, orders will include dunnage (coolpacks) and ship outside of the weather hold configuration.
  • Save Weather Hold
  • Repeat the above steps to include any additional states

Tips on Weather Holds:

  • States must be configured into Weather Holds before orders destined to the state are submitted into the system. If an order is submitted into the system before a weather Hold is configured, the order will not be captured on the weather hold, and a different hold will need to be used to stop the order from shipping (i.e., Shipping Instruction hold).
  • Orders on Weather Hold will reserve inventory.
  • If an order is on multiple holds in addition to a weather hold, releasing the weather hold will not release subsequent holds. The order will need to be checked to verify no other holds are associated with the order.
