Temp Control shipping is a great way to maintain an elevated delivery experience for your customers, so they can continue ordering and enjoying their favorite wines during the warmer months. This service places your orders on a refrigerated truck and essentially “leapfrogs” them across the country to maintain temperature integrity for most of the journey, until they are handed over to UPS for the final mile. The Southern Line Haul route handoffs are in Arizona and Texas, whereas the Northern Line Haul route services Ohio & Florida. This service is available to select states and is best utilized for orders that cannot reach their destination within 2 business days. For added protection against overheating during the final mile, you can add SKU ECOCOOLPACK to your orders before submitting them to the Fulfillment portal, so your wines will be packed in the appropriate packaging, and ice packs will be added at the handoff points.

Our EcoCool Solution is engineered to safeguard wine shipments by minimizing heat exposure and maintaining bottle integrity throughout transit. It is not a refrigeration system, and thawed ice packs upon delivery are possible.
Success is defined by the quality of your wine on arrival. When bottles arrive in excellent condition without heat-related impact, the system has done its job. If anything looks out of the ordinary, such as cork movement, leakage, or packaging damage, please reach out to our team for support. Once temp control orders ship in our system, the tracking number(s) will be provided; however, please note that they will not be live until handed over to and scanned by UPS or FedEx. If placing a future requested ship date on a temp control order, make sure it is no later than the business day before the actual ship date for WD scheduling purposes.
Temperature-controlled shipping is offered as a volume-based service. Extended delivery times are possible. To ensure service continuity, we may discuss moving shipments to 2-day service as needed. Any adjustment to the service level will be billed based on the service provided.

What is the price for Temperature-Controlled Shipping?

Due to significant increases in fuel costs, we will implement temporary fuel surcharges beginning April 1, 2026. As part of this update, the surcharge for all orders using our Temperature Controlled shipping program (shipping codes CST8 and CST9) will be temporarily raised to $4.00 per package.
